Your content is yours, and you do not have to ask us for it. The app can write a complete, readable copy of everything you have put into it, whenever you want. It takes about a minute.
It is a complete copy of your content: your diary, your people, your notes, your tasks, and your transcripts. It is written to your device, and from that moment it is yours to look after.
It is not encrypted, and that is deliberate. A copy you cannot open is not a copy. Anything that reads text can read it, which is the point and also the risk.
Open My Life Practice, then tap Settings.
It sits in the Data section, alongside the other controls for what leaves your device.
The app tells you plainly what the file will contain before it creates anything. You have to acknowledge it. This is a gate, not a formality.
Your iPhone asks for Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. We ask so that a copy is something you chose to make, not something that happened while your phone sat on a table.
The share sheet opens and you decide: save it to Files, put it in your own cloud storage, or send it to yourself. Keep it somewhere you trust.
Everything you have written, including what you have recorded about the people you work with. Some of that is information about other people, who never chose to be in a file on your laptop.
Where you store it, who you send it to, and how long you keep it are your choices, and so are the consequences. Treat it the way you would treat your own notebook.
The file is written on your device and goes wherever you send it. It does not pass through us. We hold no copy of your content, so we cannot send you another one, and we cannot get it back if it goes somewhere you did not intend.
That is the cost of a product that keeps your information out of our hands, and we would rather say so than let you find out later.
If your iPhone has no passcode, there is nothing to unlock, so the export stops before it starts. Turning one on takes about a minute.
Set a passcode on your iPhoneWrite to us and we will help you get your data.

Your content lives on your device and in your own iCloud. We hold no copy of it, so we cannot pull it out for you. What we can do is walk you through getting it yourself.
